Hansabanka's headquarters a shining example

Latvia’s largest and most modern office building - the Sun Stone building, is headquarters to Hansabanka, one the country’s leading banks. The building uses a wide range of products from multiple Group companies integrated by AssaBalt.

Group cooperation

The 26-floor Hansabanka Headquarters is also referred to as the Sun Stone building and is the most dominating example of modern architecture in the Latvian capitol. The building includes office, conference, recreational facilities as well as a twin–level parking lot.

In 2003, Assa Security Center Latvia (Anko) signed the contract for the project while AssaBalt coordinated the work of multiple Group companies including: Ruko, ASSA, ABLOY, Solid and Stremler. Their work was completed in early 2004.

Maintaining deadlines

Bank security must protect against even the most professional of criminals. At the Hansabanka headquarters the mechanical locking requirements ranged from simple doors to the highest level of security products.

The Hansabanka headquarters project was a challenge for AssaBalt because of the sheer volume of work which included 1100 doors. The project’s success would also be determined by maintaining strict deadlines and accurate product implementation.

Integrated solution

To satisfy the needs of the customer, AssaBalt integrated products from multiple Group companies. Assa provided locks for aluminium, wooden and glass doors as well as a master key system for each level of the building.

In addition to access control cards, a master key system was developed by AssaBalt for additional security and easy accessibility.
